Ilim Timber took part in «Russland Tag 2018»

On October 17, 2018, the Entrepreneur’s Day of Russia in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern was held in Rostock for the 3rd time. The event, which already become traditional, was held under the auspices of the Governor of the Leningrad Region and the Minister-President of the Bundesland Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Among the honored guests of «Russland Tag 2018» were Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily S. Osmakov, Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Y. Drozdenko, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Germany Sergey Y. Nechaev and Chairman of the German-Russian Forum and former Prime Minister Matthias Platzeck.

In her welcoming speech, Manuela Schwesig, the Minister-President of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, emphasized the importance of developing and strengthening economic ties between Russian and German regions. The agenda of the conference and panel discussions included a wide range of issues on German-Russian economic cooperation. Ilim Timber took part in the round table discussion on economics and investments.

The official delegation of the Leningrad Region visited the Ilim Nordic Timber plant in Wismar. The factory tour provided the officials, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the business community with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the positive experience of Russian investments in the woodworking sector. The visit of the official delegation was covered on television by the NDR
