Michael Liche takes over as CEO of Ilim Timber Germany from Carsten Doehring
After 9 years as CEO of Ilim Timber Bavaria GmbH and Ilim Nordic Timber GmbH & Co. KG, Carsten Doehring hands over his functions to Michael Liche and leaves the group.
Carsten Doehring leaves the Ilim Timber group in the best mutual understanding, after heading their German companies for nine years. „I express my sincere thanks to the company for this fascinating assignment and the opportunity to develop the German mills“, stresses Doehring, who has led Ilim Timber Bavaria GmbH and Ilim Nordic Timber GmbH & Co. KG since 2010, after the purchase of the two mills by the Ilim Timber-group from St. Petersburg. „Special thanks go to my colleagues from the German management team, who were a pivotal support throughout all these years. I am confident that my successor will receive the same aid and assistance from the team.”
From now on Michael Liche will lead the companies located in Wismar and Landsberg am Lech. The 39-year-old business economist joined the Ilim Timber group in 2012, at first establishing the Controlling department and reporting structures for the HQ in St. Petersburg. In January 2018, Michael Liche was promoted to Chief Operation Officer (COO). He is looking forward to his new duties: „I thank my predecessor for his excellent work, which I will strive to continue. “
